Finger Lakes Muesum Boat Tour

Don’t love the idea of captaining your own boat but want to get out on the water? Grab some tickets for the Finger Lakes Muesum Pat II boat tour! It is a fun way to get out on the water and see the lake while also learning some history of the lake and the area! Click here for more information.

Wine Tasting

What is a trip to the Finger Lakes without tasing some local wine?! Daisy House Keuka is just minutes away from some of the BEST wineries in the Finger Lakes region!

  • Dr. Franks- 6 minutes away. Gorgeous setting for tastings! Great Riesling. Try the Celebre Sparkling Riesling.

  • Heron Hill (in the photo below!)- 6 minutes away, directly above Daisy House! Great Riesling as well. They also have local cheese available to have with your tasting

  • Keuka Springs- 29 minutes away, but SO WORTH IT. All of their wines are great, but what we love is that they actually have great red wines. Anyone who knows anything about Finger Lakes wine knows how rare this is!!

  • Weis Vineyards- 17 minutes away. Award winning German style wine

  • Bully Hill Vineyards- 9 minutes away. Very affordable. They serve small bites in their restaurant on the weekends.

Visit Hammondsport

Daisy House Keuka is located only a 5-minute drive from the quaint Village of Hammondsport. We love to visit Hammondsport for many different reasons:

  • It is a great place to just take a walk either around town or on the lake front.

  • There are adorable shops! Our favorite is The Cinnamon Stick. Trust us, it looks small, but it is MASSIVE inside.

  • Park View Wine & Spirits has a fantastic selection of local wine from all around the Finger Lakes region

  • Great restaurants! Our favorites are Timber Stone and Village Tavern. Also, don’t miss Snug Harbor in between Daisy House and Hammondsport. You can sit right on the lake and the food is great!

  • If you need groceries to cook at the house, Hammondsport Grocery has everything you need!

  • If you are looking to order in, Wise Guys Pizza is fantastic and they deliver!

The Windmill in Penn Yan

On Saturdays from April through November, be sure to take a ride over to The Windmill in Penn Yan! It is full of merchants galore selling everything from fresh produce and local food products to wine and whiskey, kitchen wares, home goods, crystals, gifts, outdoor furniture, and more. It’s a great place to go for lunch and to shop with local merchants! P.S. Don’t miss the Scottish Shortbread! It is TO DIE FOR!

If you are interested in purchasing from incredible local meat, when you are leaving The Windmill, be sure to stop at Timberline Farms for fresh and frozen meat from an Amish farm.
